Fascination

Posted September 6, 2022.

It was in the wee hours of morning when my healing brain was sorting out the previous day's memories, then previewed the stock market falling and then began dreaming of how to fix the political-economic crises in the world. My quantum brain began reflecting on all sorts of past holograms. Some dreams were unexplainable like fascination! A world event became a powerful attraction, very interesting and full of anticipation and expectation. This word is the title of this novel.

Then all of a sudden my dreams switched to The Tale of Two Cities, London and Paris, before and during the French Revolution. The novel tells the story of the French Doctor Manette, his 18-year-long imprisonment in the Bastille in Paris, and his release to live in London with his daughter Lucie whom he had never met. The story is set against the conditions that led up to the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror.

Charles Dickens opens his famous 1859 famous novel: The Tale of Two Cities, with a sentence that has become famous: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way—in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."  Wiki: Tale of Two Cities

Dickens introduction could easily apply to 2021 storming of US capital and today's 2022 American problems.

We are caught in the spinning vortex in a black hole and can't seem to find a way out. The economic-political magnet is too strong and we cannot find the political common sense to break the inflation stranglehold.  There is a fascination with printing dollar money without any collateral to backup it up. Gold sits disabled on the sideline unable to use its glitter to make the dollars shine with value. How long can this fascination with arrogance with inflation, dollars and gold continue?

There is frustration with political leaders not solving social and economic problems. But .... once again my wonderful brain was dreaming of a solution to this stalemate. Why not have Artificial Intelligence [AI] programmed to provide a guide to steer politicians in the proper direction? If rocket scientists can program a rocket to the moon and back and software engineers at Microsoft and Apple can engineer programs to make computer and i-phones work, surely we have the ability to program AI to do the work of politicians in a unbiased manner! There is fascination in this possibility!

There may be a parallel between the revolutionary changes during and after the French revolution and possible changes to American democracy. We already have terror with gun shootings in schools and public places and invading congress. This is another fascination.

Dreams are mysterious and not understood. It is during sleep that the body heals and the brain sorts out memories of the previous day. Although we do not pay attention to the brain dream states, the need to recharge the brain with adequate sleep takes place. Fascination is a key stimulus for change and thus the driving force for progress. How the brain works is fascinating in itself!

Many readers will scuff at the idea of the brain in a dream state being able to focus on fixing personal or world problems. That is because the brain works in a hidden quantum state. The mind-brain is programmed to be precise, accurate and strive for perfection. It is programmed to keep itself and the body alive. The striving for perfection is a unique survival trait. This is the driving force that activates the brain to do good. All this brain magic is hidden and is a mystery to most persons viewing and interpreting living with classical science .... what we see, feel and hear.  Indeed, how the brain works is fascination.
