Inflammation: What You Need To Know
By Walter Sorochan

The first real reaction of the body to injury or infection is inflammation or "swelling" that takes place instantly. and, ofcourse, you feel pain! Inflammation is good for you; it is your body telling you to pay attention to whatever caused it!

Inflammation is part of your body's natural immune defense - healing system when injured, irritated or infected. Inflammation is a protective attempt by the your body to remove the injurious stimuli and to initiate the healing process. Without inflammation, wounds and infections would never heal.  Wiki: Inflammation
