“ Knowledge is power. “

All information must be free for learning to take place.

The purpose of this web-site is to simplify complex information and make it available to the general public.

future education Information must be free! It should be available to all who need access to it. Knowledge belongs to everyone just as the natural resources, water and air, belong to everyone. The secret is knowing where to find honest and credible information.

Having knowledge is critical to making good decisions. It is finding out about things that improves your understanding of the world, and allows you to grow and develop and become a better functioning member of society.

Great care has been taken to use discretion about the quality of the information used as a database. Valid and reliable sources were used where possible. For example, reputable authors were preferred over those having vested interests in product-topics displayed on their web-sites. Likewise information found on commercial sites selling products were, in most instances, avoided. On the other hand, many web-sites espousing to provide information did so in a slanted manner and were often supported by commercial products. Information on these web-sites were also avoided. Even some web-sites projecting reliable information but putting a biased spin were also avoided. As much as often the principle of “ freedom of information” was used as the basis for identifying good sources of information. Several professional and respected organizational sites discriminated against information and others that was contrary to their display policy. These discriminatory sites were included as often as possible. [ American Cancer Society is one such example. ]

Ofcourse, the information had to be relevant and deemed honest in content to be selected. In spite of taking these precautions, there will be some who will accuse the web-master of being biased or selecting sources that may be biased or provide unreliable information.

When topics were controversy, then a sincere attempt was made to present both sides so that the reader could decide on the most appropriate position to take. Knowledge seeks the truth and often the truth about something is just not there. This is when one has to have an open mind! This may be a difficult concept for some to grasp.

This web-site is not subsidized by any commercials or advertisements. However, contributions to maintain this web-site are most appreciated. Thank you. Contact the web-master for direction on where to donate.

It is a privilege to provide you, the visitor to this web-site, with the opportunity to understand complex information. For it is the informed person who has power over his or her destiny! Knowledge and the best things in life are free!
