There is an unspoken mystery about our planet, various kinds of electricity, magnetism about the North and South poles, the electric currents emitted by living things, mental telepathy, the affect electricity may have on our health and the prediction of the end of the earth in 2012. The common denominator for all of these mysteries may be interconnectivity via electromagnetism.  This article will attempt to connect the dots between earthly phenomena, mysterious happenings, electromagnetism and planet earth.

naclBelieve it or not, the world is full of electricity.  You learned in elementary school that elements like copper, lead and sodium are positively charged while oxides like NO2 and SO4 are negatively charged.  Even viruses and bacteria have electrical charges.

You may not think of yourself as being electrically charged because you cannot feel your own electricity; but you are full of electricity. Your heart, muscles and brain create very small electrical pulses that can be measured.   Other human phenomenon like mental telepathy communication are less understood, partly because we cannot measure these impulses. But the point here is that our bodies are electrical machines!

So are all other living and none living organisms and things.  Researchers have discovered that plants talk to each other, elephants talk to each other in low tones that we cannot hear, other animals and insects like bees communicate but we humans do not as yet fully comprehend all this.  We are all ecologically interrelated to each other and living things in ways that are complicated, controversial and difficult to understand.

On a bigger and more complex scenario, the planet we live on is also full of electricity.  Scientists say that there are 100 lightening strikes occurring somewhere on earth every second.  The air surrounding the planet, and even outer space [ some call it ether, Tesla called it radiation ] is being constantly bombarded with electricity from the sun.

That there is electricity in space [ ether, plasma  ], gives credibility to Tesla's ability to harness electricity from the air about 1900 - 1930.

Then there is the electromagnetic field being created by the earth spinning around its own axis. This gives us the north and south poles and the magnetic field or gravity of earth.

There are many earthly and human complexities that are occurring without our real understanding.  The earth has its own earth pulse that living things apparently need to tune into, or resonate, in a harmonious manner to stay healthy and live. All of earth's creatures are inter-related to earth by way of electricity.  We are only beginning to discover the complexity of all this.

The rest of this article will try to explore all these inter-relations in a very brief and simple manner. The question is where do we start to explain all of this? It is much like which comes first --- the chicken or the egg?   Back to Top

Earth pulses and resonances:

To simplify how electromagnetism, electricity and living things and are inter-connected with the planet earth,  we need to understand resonance.

 Earth Resonance

Earth has an electric pulse of its own. We do not hear very much about this pulse or resonance but all living things on earth are tuned to this mother earth wave.  You need special monitoring meters to measure this very faint pulse.  But its there!

The Resonance is an Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) wave that exists naturally in the space that, in turn, exists between the Earth's surface and its ionosphere [ refer to illustration above ]. "This weak resonance vibrates at a pulse of 7.83 Hertz (cycles). This frequency of waves and its harmonics at 14, 20, 26, 33, 39 and 45 Hz form the Schumann Resonances."  Fiorenza: Planetary Harmonics

The earth's resonance or wave frequency was named as the Schumann Resonance, after the man who identified these waves. This resonance was first calculated by Schumann in 1952 as a series of frequencies, of which the lowest in the group was reported to be about 10 Hz. These frequencies  were later measured by the National Bureau of Standards at Boulder Colorado in the 1960's where the 7.8 Hz nominal figure was discovered along with the 5.9 Hz progressing overtones. Fiorenza: Planetary Harmonics

An interesting relationship exists between the Earth's Fundamental Resonant Frequency (Schumann Resonance) of approximately seven and half beats per second (7.5 Hertz) and that of the natural phenomenon of lightning.  Andersen: Harnessing Resonance  This relationship further gives credibility to the concept that the earth is a living plant.  Back to Top

 What is resonance?

Our familiarity with radio is a good place to start.

Resonance [ frequency vibration ] works like a radio transmitter and a home radio as a receiver.

If you tune a radio receiver to 87.5 MHz on your radio tuner or bandwave, you match the wave length or frequency of 87.5 MHz of the radio transmitter. This causes the receiver and the transmitter to vibrate and communicate at the same frequency or band wave; allowing you to hear sound. Living cells behave similarly as a radio transmitter and receiver. Zubkewych: bridge collapse

Resonance may be defined as the frequency at which an object most naturally wants to vibrate. For example: In coherent systems, one object may set another object into motion if it shares the same resonant frequency. If, for example, you strike a tuning fork of 100 cycles per second and bring it near another tuning fork of that same frequency, the second tuning fork will be set in motion. Even though it has not been struck, the second fork will begin to vibrate and radiate a sound merely by being in the same nearby field as the vibrating tuning fork.

Examples of resonance to back up that resonance idea is real and works:

tuning fork A music tuning fork, when touched to vibrate, will activate another adjacent tuning fork. Both tuning forks vibrate in response to the same sound wave length and at the same frequency pitch. The animation on the right illustrates this.

In Tacoma, the original Washington bridge was built without the ability to counteract resonance. A resonant frequency built up by the wind one day that allowed the swinging bridge to increase its sway a little more and more, until finally the entire bridge snapped and crumbled because of the pressure of the resonant force of the wind. Since then all bridges have been built to have no structural resonance, in that they would have separate entities that would resonate at different times. Zubkewych: bridge collapse

Voice shatters wine glass: Another example of this is seen when a singer shatters a glass by singing at a certain pitch. If the glass’s shape has a certain type of periodic structure, the resonance between the note and the structure can produce an ever-increasing vibration fed by the push of the singer's voice. This can shatter the glass by making it vibrate past its stable level.   U_tube demo: Glass Shattering Montage

Piano Key C: If one piano is at one end of a room and if one strikes the C key, the C string in another piano in the same room will reverberate. This experiment works because each key is hypersensitive to vibrations in its own key. This is called resonance.

Child swinging: The concept of resonance is also very similar to that of a child riding a swing. If the pumping action of the legs and the distribution of the weight to gravity is in a resonant harmony with the swing action, then the child will gradually increase the swing to a higher and higher degree, until the amount of energy displaced by the pumping action has reached its maximum, meaning that the swing action has reached its highest zenith. Such swing action illustrates resonance.   Back to Top

Everything in nature, living and non-living, has natural resonant frequencies: examples

Salt Water burning in test tube: salt water burning

"Dr. Roy speculates that because the 13.56-MHz radio frequency is a harmonic of the natural frequency of sodium ions, the waves are causing these positive ions to vibrate intensely. Van der Waal's effects attract the oxygen end of water molecules to the positive sodium ions, and the vibration shakes the oxygen molecules hard enough to break the hydrogen bonds, freeing the hydrogen gas, which then ignites and burns." Kuanzius: salt water burns
Small water drops, about 1 millimeter in diameter, have a resonant frequency about 100 Hz, and approach 1000 Hz at about one half millimeter diameter

Human Cells: Human body cells have a resonant frequency at about 1000 KHz

Pathogens: resonate at 890 to 910 terahertz Frequencies in Terahertz

Germicidal ultra-violet lights: in many hospitals resonate at 890 to 910 terahertz

Silver nano-colloidal particles: resonance matching virus at 890 to 910 terahertz

DNA healing: Health And Acupuncture frequencies   DNA frequencies   |  DNA light-sound healing

So, in summary, just what is resonance?

Believe it or not, the Earth behaves like an enormous electric circuit. The atmosphere is actually a weak conductor and if there were no sources of charge, its existing electric charge would diffuse away in about 10 minutes. There is a "cavity" defined by the surface of the earth and the inner edge of the ionosphere 55 kilometers up. At any moment, a large electrical charge resides in this cavity.

The Schumann Resonances are quasi standing wave electromagnetic waves that exist in this cavity. Like waves on a spring, they are not present all the time, but have to be 'excited' to be observed. They are not caused by anything internal to the Earth, its crust or its core. They seem to be related to electrical activity in the atmosphere, particularly during times of intense lightning activity."  Zero Point & resonance

Evidence ALL Living Things have Resonance:

A Russian engineer, Georges Lakhovsky, discovered in 1924 that all living cells in plants, animals, people, germs and parasites were able to send and receive minute electric wave currents and display resonance. When Lakhovsky bombarded living cells with the appropriate amount of electric current, the strength and vigor of that cell was reinforced and become stronger. When he used different outside frequencies the electric current weakened the cells. As a result cells lost vigor and vitality. Lakhovsky postulated that all living cells, including disease organisms, could act as both an emitter and receiver of very high frequency oscillations. This gave way to the perception that that sick cells could be treated with resonant electricity and become healthy again.   Adachi: electronic Lakhovsky    Quantum weiriness of plants-animals

Lakhovsky also discovered that the cells of disease causing organisms within an infected person, produced frequencies that were different from normal, healthy cells. For people or plants suffering from disease conditions, Lakhovsky found that if he could increase the amplitude [ but not the frequency ] of the oscillations of healthy cells, this increase would overwhelm and dampen the oscillations produced by the diseased cells, causing the disease to end  Adachi: electronic Lakhovsky

To prove his observations, he conducted an experiment with germanium plants.  On  December 1924, he inoculated 10 germanium plants with a plant cancer that produced tumors. After 30 days, the tumors had developed in all of the plants. He took one of the 10 infected plants and simply fashioned a heavy copper wire in a one loop, open-ended coil about 30 cm (12") in diameter around the center of the plant and held it in place with an ebonite stake. The copper coil acted as an antennae or a tuning coil, collecting and concentrating oscillation energy from extremely high frequency cosmic rays in the air. The tumors fell off in less than 3 weeks and by 2 months, the plant was thriving. All of the other cancer-inoculated plants without the antennae coil died within 30 days.   Adachi: electronic Lakhovsky

Three years later, with the original coil left in place, the plant grew into a very robust specimen.  Adachi: electronic Lakhovsky

Lakhovsky's finding were extended by Dr. Leonard Horowitz of Harvard University, winner of three Nobel laureates in medicine.  Horowitz proved that the primary function of DNA lies in the realm of bioacoustic and bioelectric signaling.  Horowitz showed that DNA emits and receives photons or electromagnetic waves of sound and light.  Horowitz: body is resonant fluid   Horowitz's research makes it scientifically possible to resonate the DNA of a microbe to an intensity beyond its resting vibration, thereby destroying the microbe.  Horowitz: body is resonant fluid   Back to Top

 Gaia: a living planet

We now recognize that the air, the ocean and the soil are much more than a mere environment for life; they are a part of life itself. Thus the air is to life just as is the fur to a cat or the nest for a bird. Not living but something made by living things to protect against an otherwise hostile world. For life on Earth the air is our protection against the cold depths and fierce radiations of space. Lovelock: Gaia  Using these observations about earth, biologist James Lovelock evolved the theory of Gaia. He explained that the earth is a living, conscious being.

earth_heart Biologist, James Lovelock evolved the theory of Gaia.  Lovelock: Gaia   He explained that the earth is a living, conscious being.  The animation on the left illustrates that earth has a pulsating or beating heart!  Lovelock refers to this earth beat as resonance that is a weak pulsating wave pulse of 7.5 [ 7.8 ] Hz.   [  Hz or Hertz  is a unit of measure: One hertz simply means "one cycle  or beat per second" (typically that which is being counted is a complete cycle); 100 Hz means "one hundred cycles per second", and so on. ]

The many examples above give us information that there is electromagnetism on our plant.  This in itself supports the idea that earth is a living planet and has been referred to as "Gaia."  A few more examples to corroborate Gaia.   Back to Top

  Ley Lines

earthgridThere is controversy about planet earth having presumed electric fields referred to as ley lines.  These are illustrated in the diagram on the left. These lines [ or meridians and chakras ] are assumed to generate energy. The idea of ley lines also as magical, mystical alignments is a fairly modern one. One school of thought believes that these lines carry positive or negative energy. It is also believed that where two or more lines converge, you have a place of great power and energy. Like for example, the controversial ancient art of dowsing for water using a V-shaped twig; professed explanations give credit to locating places on earth where ley lines intersect and water lies underneath.  It is believed that many well-known sacred sites, such as Stonehenge, Glastonbury Tor, Sedona and Machu Picchu sit at the convergence of several lines.

There are a number of academics who dismiss the concept of ley lines, pointing out that geographic alignment doesn’t necessarily make the connection magical. But the point being made is that earth does seem to have an electrical field; thus giving credibility that mother earth is a living entity.   Back to Top

 Earthly Phenomenon:

The following mysteries provide explanations about the relationships between mother earth and little understood happenings that affect us humans and provide evidence that earth is a living planet.

 Continental drift, Earthquakes, Volcanoes

The planet has been moving and is continuously changing its geographic appearance. This is referred to as the continental drift!

According to the theory of continental drift, the earth’s surface is divided up into a dozen or so massive, rigid plates that rest on the earth’s more fluid mantle [ approximately 240 kilometers below the earth's surface ].

Collisions between plates result in the deformation of the earth’s crust, like the uplift of mountains, and causing severe earthquake and volcanic activity as well. Lateral slip between the plates also gives rise to earthquakes.   Cornell Univ: continent movements   Earthquakes  Volcano info   Back to Top

 Jet stream

jet stream Changes in air currents are also a sign that the planet is breathing and alive.

Jet streams are winds in high altitude. The major jet streams on Earth are westerly winds; that is, flowing from west to east. They are caused by solar heating of the atmosphere and rotation of the planet. Their paths typically have a meandering shape; jet streams may start, stop, split into two or more parts, combine into one stream, or flow in various directions including the opposite direction of most of the jet. The strongest jet streams are the polar jets, at around 7–12 km [ 23,000–39,000 ft ] above sea level.    Wiki: Jet stream   Back to Top

 Ocean Currents:

Ocean currents are yet another indication that plant earth is alive. Global ocean currents help to regulate the world’s climate and have important effects on marine life. They are composed of deep ocean currents [ cold water ] and surface currents [ warm water ].

Ocean currents flow in distinct patterns generated by wind, earth's rotation, water heat content, salinity and bottom topography. Deep ocean currents are like great big rivers on the ocean bed. These use thermohaline circulation as a global current [ diagram below ] that moves water between ocean basins and from the surface to ocean depths.

ocean coveyor The thermohaline circulation is often referred to as the "global conveyor belt" because it moves large volumes of water along a course through the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans. Cold, salty water sinks in the Norwegian Sea and travels south to the Antarctic, then east to the Pacific. Here water warms and rises, then reverses course and follows an upper-ocean course back through the Indian Ocean and around Cape Horn to the Atlantic. The current has a flow equal to that of 100 Amazon rivers.   Oceans: oceans currents   Back to Top

 Northern Lights

aurora1 All these observations about earth's electrical activities would be incomplete without alluding to the phenomina of aurora borealis, also called the Northern polar lights. These electrical dancing lights are visible in the sky from the Northern Hemisphere which are reputed to be caused by the sun's winds on the earth's atmosphere.  There is an electro- magnetic connection, with large electric currents associated with the aurora.  Back to Top

Earth as an electric battery or energy box:

copper pole movingba copper pole

The simplest earth batteries consist of conductive metal plates [ like copper and zinc ] buried in the ground so that the soil acts as the electrolyte in a voltaic cell. As such, this battery device would act as a non-rechargeable battery. When operated only as electrolytic devices, such devices were not continuously reliable, owing to drought condition. Nevertheless, these devices were used by early experimenters as energy sources for telegraphy. However, in the process of installing long telegraph wires, engineers discovered that there was electricity [ electrical potential differences ] between most pairs of telegraph stations, resulting from natural electrical currents [ called telluric currents ] flowing through the ground. Some early experimenters did recognize that these currents were, in fact, partly responsible for extending the earth batteries' high outputs and long lifetimes.   Earth as a battery  |   Lanthorn: Manual for new existance  Back to Top

 The Bermuda Triangle:

bermuda mystery scare Bermuda_Triangle

A mystery to this day are the disappearances of ships and airplanes in different ocean areas that may be related to the earth's electromagnetism. Wiki: Bermuda notable incidents

The Bermuda Triangle [ Devil's Triangle ] is one of the most mysterious and dangerous areas of the earth’s oceans, responsible, or blamed, for the disappearance of over 2,000 vessels and 75 airplanes through a rather short period of three centuries.  Bermuda mystery "These unusual phenomena quickly formed the backbone of the “mythos” of the Bermuda Triangle, the enigma of unexplained “forces,” hints of the laws of nature running wild, of possible time warps, inter-dimensional transition, wormholes, and invisibility. To speak about them is to speak about the “supernatural,” the impossible, and the occult.."

The Bermuda Triangle behaviors and effects have been partially investigated by Canadian Hutchison.  Hutchison duplicated many of the effects reported about the Bermuda Triangle in the confines of his small indoor lab: strangely swirling clouds and lights, green glows and phosphorescence, objects levitating, and electromagnetic anomalies.   Quasar: Hutchison effect

Dragon's Triangle   [ "Devil's Sea" ], located in the Philippine Sea off China's eastern coast, is also known for vanishing ships and seamen similar to the legendary Bermuda Triangle.  Dragon Triangle

All of these ocean area mysteries appear to be related to the electromagnetic forces of living earth!    Back to Top

 Free Energy by Tesla:

Teslax2The availability of getting an alternative source of electricity from space or earth's atmosphere about 1900 began with a feud between Nicola Tesla and philanthropist Morgan and his friends.    Valone: Research Institute  |  Sorochan: Bio Tesla  Two forms of electric current AC and DC were debated at this time.

"Edison struggled to introduce his radical new direct current (DC) technology into the hurly-burly of New York City as Tesla and Westinghouse challenged his dominance with their alternating current (AC), thus setting the stage for one of the eeriest feuds in American corporate history, the War of the Electric Currents."  Jonnes: Empires of light

Westinghouse had the funding to evolve a money making electric system [ 1883 ] that gradually spread through the world as we know it now.  Meanwhile Tesla demonstrated the ability to catch free electricity from the air or ether in 1902.
"Tesla built a working electric system that included a tower to capture the free energy from the air and a machine to convert free energy into usable electricity." Sorochan: Bio Tesla   Without getting into the nasty historical details of this controversy  Sorochan: Bio Tesla, the   point here is that Tesla did catch electricity from somewhere other than the electric grid.  Tesla with his experiments demonstrated that Earth abounded with sustainable amounts of electricity and this, in turn, supports the Gaia concept that earth is alive.

car piercearrow_tesla Another controversial "free energy" phenomenon is Nicola Tesla's claim to have harnessed the energy in space [ plasma  or space vacuum ] to drive an automobile [ original auto used by Tesla on the right ].  Tesla claimed to have built a "black box" that captured the free energy from space and then converted same into a usable electrical current that ran an electric motor in an automobile.  He demonstrated his invention to skeptics by driving his electric auto around Buffalo, New York, area for several weeks in 1932.  World EV: Tesla's free energy car  |  Sorochan: Bio Tesla   Back to Top

 Humans resonate with earth:

There is a biological and harmonic connection between our biological pulsating frequency and that of the earth.   The inherent frequency of the earth is 7.8Hz [ 7-13 Hz ]. Earth resonates with a frequency similar to a person's brain waves. This frequency has been shown in scientific studies to be an essential requirement for physical and psychological health. Since there are so many extraneous Extremely Low Frequency [ ELF ] frequencies in the earth's atmosphere at this time [ radio waves, TV waves, electrical grid lines, computers and cell phones ], these frequencies can cause a drowning out, or supression of the natural Schumann Resonance.   Healing power of earth Magi: earth heartbeat trouble

Unfortunately, very little is publicly known about the Human Biological Frequency, although NASA has been aware of it for many years and is using this knowledge to protect Astronauts in Outer Space.   Back to Top

Astronauts and no earth pulse in space ship:  The physical condition of early Astronauts deteriorated severely whilst in Outer Space, away from the Schumann Resonance on earth. The problem was solved by introducing the "Schumann Simulator" into all space shuttles, a magnetic pulse generator mimicking the Earth's frequency. The simulator creatd a compatible earth environment on board the space ship.  This demonstrates the simple fact that we cannot be healthy if disconnected from the "natural biological frequency."   Healing power of earth  Back to Top

 Brain waves similar to earth

brainanin2 med man Cheyenne It is no coincidence, that the brainwave frequency of most vertebrates is around the value of approximately 7.5, although that of industrial man/woman is often higher. However, the dominant brainwave frequency of sensitivities, such as Shamans and Healers comes close to 7.83 Hz and may, at times, beat in phase with the earth's signal, thereby causing Harmonic Resonance. [ Did ancient healers know something that we today are skeptical about and do not understand? ]  Healing power of earth

"The 7.83 Hz. Schumann Resonance figure that many people might hear about is a number made popular by researcher Robert Beck whose work on Extremely Low Frequency [ ELF ] signals, Earth resonances, and their affect on brain wave frequencies was presented at a U.S. Psychotronic conference and published in late 1970's. He reported that 7.83 Hz is a brainwave frequency often detected when psychics are in their intuiting mode."  Fiorenza: Planetary Harmonics   Back to Top

 Microbes resonate with earth

Scientists have found a new medical technology, [ supported by Horowitz's findings ] other than antibiotics, to combat bacteria, viruses, fungi, molds, yeasts and parasites. Matching the unique wave length [ resonance ] of a parasite, and then intensifying the vibration of bacteria, viruses, fungi, molds and yeasts causes these organisms to vibrate more vigorously, causing their outer coating to break up or shatter and destroy them.   BishopInfo about biophotons  |   Cellular resonance |  Gutierrez: scientists kill viruses |   Schewe: shattering viruses    science shatters viruses      Back to Top

And consider this:

 Cardiovascular system:

Heart-02-june heart torodial Our hearts produce an electromagnetic field which extends beyond our body that is identical to that produced by the Earth.  [ Image on right: the heart actually produces a toroidal-shaped electromagnetic field ]

This is scientific evidence that humans are far more intimately connected to the planet than we currently aware. The heart actually produces a toroidal-shaped electromagnetic field [ image on right  ], identical to the one produced by the Earth, that extends up to fifteen feet outside of our bodies.   Back to Top

 Emotions and electromagnetism:

Perhaps most important to understand of all is that our emotionsappear to be charged with electromagnetic fields, and appear to be sensitive to the emotions of others.  Gordon: heart earth connection   This is a new field for further study.

According to Rifkin, who has studied the resonances of earth, human bodies, "there appears to be a revolution in communication that goes hand-in-glove with a revolution of energy production in human emotions and the impact of people banding together as through the internet."  Rifkin speculates that "the internet connects millions of people which, in turn, creates an empathy toward the speculation that resonance may be helping to band people together.   Such possibilities may be changing how we, as  humans, will cooperate during world crises as well as connecting us to earth itself." Rifkin: new third revolution and biomagnetism   This may possibly change the course of human history.   Back to Top

 Human brain and earth resonance

"At the time physicist W.O. Schumann published the results of his research about  resonances in the journal Technische Physik,  physician Ankermüller immediately made the connection between the Schumann resonances and the alpha rhythm of brain waves. He found the thought of the earth having the same natural resonance as the brain very exciting and contacted Professor Schumann, who in turn, asked a doctoral candidate to look into this phenomenon. This doctoral candidate was Herbert König, who became Schumann’s successor at Munich University. König demonstrated a correlation between Schumann resonances and brain rhythms. He compared human EEG recordings with the natural electromagnetic fields of the environment (1979) and found that the first five Schumann resonance frequencies, 0-35 Hz, to be within the same frequency range as the brain waves in a human EEG and the 7.8 Hz signal to be very close to the brain’s alpha rhythm frequency." Deyhle: global connectedness

The first five Schumann resonances overlap with the brain frequency bands. Note: Brain waves are grouped according to their frequencies and are labeled with Greek letters: alpha, beta, delta and theta; and are illustrated below. Deyhle: global connectedness

Frequency Range

State of Mind

0.5Hz - 4Hz

This occurs in a deep dreamless sleep or unconsciousness.

4Hz - 7Hz

This is associated with drowsiness. It also occurs at first stage of sleep and during deep meditation, when we are awake but open to mental imagery. It has been associated with creativity, intuition daydreaming and fantasizing. Believed to reflect activity from the limbic system and increased activity is observed in anxiety, behavioral activation and inhibition.

8Hz - 12Hz

This is the major rhythm seen in a normal, relaxed adult. It is present during most of life. It is considered a common state during alertness but not actively processing information. Alpha has been linked to creativity (creative people show alpha when listening and coming to a solution) and mental work. Alpha activity is also associated with overall mental and body/mind coordination, calmness, alertness and learning.

12Hz - 30Hz

Beta reflects highly active processing. Occurs during normal waking consciousness and outward attention. Slow beta: 12-17 is normal information processing and mental activity; Fast beta: 17-30 is heightened alertness and fight or flight, or anxiety.

30Hz - 100Hz

This is associated with waking states and can occur when we are simultaneously processing information in both brain hemispheres. Whales and dolphins also operate in these frequencies.

"Since this first discovery, more scientific research has posited that Schumann resonances are very important electromagnetic standing waves, acting as background frequencies and influencing biological oscillators within the mammalian brain."  Deyhle: global connectedness

As long as the properties of Earth’s electromagnetic cavity remain about the same, brain frequencies remain the same. Some of the changes that occur in the Schumann resonances are caused by the solar sunspot cycle as Earth’s ionosphere changes in response to changing solar wind associated with the 11-year cycle of solar activity. As the mean intensity of the Schumann resonances increases or decreases because of day/night differences, there can be changes in solar activity, global weather, etc.. Our brains and nervous systems respond to these changes. Deyhle: global connectedness

Similar to the tuning-fork example, evidence shows it is possible for the brain to detect, tune into and respond to a Schumann resonance signal. Deyhle: global connectedness

Some ill effects associated with changes in solar geomagnetic activity: Deyhle: global connectedness

  • Altered blood pressure.
  • Reproductive, immune system, cardiac and neurological problems.
  • Mental disorders, depression and suicide.
  • Increased hospital admissions, accidents and sudden death, as well as countless other stress-related conditions.

Thus we see that the Schumann resonances, geomagnetic and solar activity influence human health and behavior. It is exciting to observe that the study of Schumann resonances points toward the interconnectedness of us as humans, our planet earth, the sun, and probably many other planetary factors we are not aware of yet.  [ As is often the case with research, there are opposing opinions on the existence or extent of such adverse effects. ]  Deyhle: global connectedness   Back to Top

Plants also resonate with earth.  Plants can communicate with each other and other living things.  But not in ways that are accepted by scientists and the general public.   Indeed there is controversy about the validity that plants have sentient or the ability to be sensitive to feeling pain, emotions, human thought and communication.  Creath: sound healing plants  |  Koziolek: phosynthesis signaling    Quantum weiriness of plants-animals   Jarvis: What is Quantum Entanglement

It is difficult for humans to accept the idea that plants may possess intelligence on a high level, just like humans do.

Essentially, the controversy hinges on the idea that plants may be sentient, that is, that plants are sensitive to human thoughts and feelings. Can plants be sentient despite their lack of a nervous system? This sentience issue was originally observed primarily through changes in the plant’s responses to human thought through a polygraph, as pioneered by Cleve Backster.  Backster: plant communication book

Backster's claims were refuted by Horowitz, Lewis, and Gasteiger (1975) and Kmetz (1977). Kmetz summarized the case against Backster in an article for the Skeptical Inquirer in 1978.   Horowitz: body is resonant fluid  |  Carroll: Skeptics

Adding credibility that plants can communicate is the registering of USA and international patents for a system to sense electrical potential particularly in plants by David Glaser.  Glaser: Patent to measure plant senitivity

Additional support for plant sentience is the recent research by an Italian researcher, Stefano Mancuso. He found that plants possess intelligence like being able to communicate by way of chemical substances, have a specific and fairly extensive vocabulary to convey alarms, threats, health and a host of other things.  Mancuso: smart plants

 Migratory birds and animals

wildgeese Migratory birds use magnetic clues to guide their journey during migration. When birds migrate over long distances they usually end up in the same place, year after year. One of the first concrete signs that animals can tap into the magnetic field was observed by chance in the fall of 1957 when Hans Fromme, a researcher at the Frankfurt Zoological Institute in Germany, noticed that several European robins he kept in a cage were becoming restless and were fluttering up into the southwestern part of the cage. A paper published in Nature in 2004 reported, "Resonance effects indicate a radical-pair mechanism for avian magnetic compass," suggesting that birds "see" the earth’s magnetic field with their eyes, where receptors sensitive to magnetic fields feed data to the brain through the optic nerves.   Deyhle: global connectedness

Also marine animals, like salmon, whales and turtles to name only a few, are known to migrate with the seasons, and studies of turtles reveal that hatchlings have the ability to sense the direction and strength of the earth’s magnetic field, which they use for navigating along their regular migration route (Triverdi, 2001).   Deyhle: global connectedness

earth-magnetic-field-300x273Earth’s magnetic field [ courtesy NASA illustrated in diagram on right ] is suspected of providing the magnetic compass bearings for migratory birds, fish and animals.

However, even animals not known for their migration habits display a magnetic sense, also called magneto-reception. Recent publications from a German research group [ Begall et al, 2008 ], made the discovery that cattle [ and other herd animals, such as red and roe deer ] tend to situate themselves on a magnetic North-South axis, as if involuntarily directed by the earth’s magnetic field. These surprising results were discovered when satellite images provided by Google Earth were used to analyze herding patterns and behavior. However, the built-in magnetic compass gets out of alignment the closer the cattle get to high voltage power lines, and the cattle then align with the power lines instead.   Deyhle: global connectedness   Back to Top

 Can animals sense earthquakes?

Earthquakes  [ including volcanic eruptions ] are another phenomenon supporting the idea that earth is a living planet.  The interesting thing about earthquakes is that earthquakes give off resonant waves that animals and insects are sensitive to and can pick up as a forecast of pending danger.  Here are a few examples of such occurrences.

The belief that earthquakes can be predicted based on animal behavior has been around for centuries, and many reports and stories from eye witnesses support this.  Some examples that illustrate interconnectedness between animals and earth-related events. The following information is quoted from an article on global connectedness by  Deyhle: Deyhle: global connectedness

"In 373 B.C., historians recorded that animals such as rats, snakes, weasels and centipedes left the Greek city of Helice several days before an earthquake devastated it.

There are many accounts of pet owners claiming to have witnessed their cats, dogs or livestock acting strangely before an earthquake. Precisely what animals sense remains a mystery.

One theory is that wild and domestic creatures feel the earth vibrate before humans do. Some research suggests that animals detect changes in the groundwater level, increases in humidity or electrical changes in the air’s ions or radon gas released from Earth before an earthquake.

Because earthquakes are sudden events, geologists and seismologists have not been able to predict exactly when they will occur. According to estimates based on US Geological Survey (USGS) earthquake statistics, over 1.3 million earthquakes occur each year, but only about 130 of them are in the range of 6.0 magnitude or higher on earthquake measuring scales.

Most modern scientific studies have not considered the possibility that the unusual behavior of domestic and wild animals occurring several days or weeks in advance of an earthquake could be related to it. Buskirk et al. (1981) reports, however, that of 36 earthquakes occurring from 1923 to 1978 in Europe, Asia and the Americas, the most unusual animal behavior occurred near the epicenters within one or two days of the quakes and the species cited were primarily domestic.

In 2008, two days before a devastating earthquake hit China’s Sichuan province; thousands of toads suddenly were seen moving across a bridge in Taizhou (April 26, 2009, see photo). Chinese authorities did not associate that event with the earthquake.

riding_bikes A recent study by Grant and Halliday published in the Journal of Zoology in 2010 looked at a population of Bufo bufo toads 74 km away from the Italian city of L’Aquila, where a devastating 6.3 earthquake hit in April 2009. For this study, the authors used very low-frequency and low-frequency electromagnetic signals to look at perturbations in the ionosphere, which have recently been linked with large earthquakes. Maekawa at al. (2006) established that the ionosphere is disturbed a few days to a week before an earthquake.

In the Grant and Halliday study, breeding toads were monitored at San Ruffino Lake in Italy. Scientists reported there was a 95% decline in the number of male toads on the lake’s breeding ground five days before the quake, which, as the authors state, is highly unusual behavior for toads, because they usually remain active once they start breeding. The number of toads on the breeding ground began rising after the earthquake. Also, pre-seismic perturbations were recorded in the ionosphere before the quake.

Toad The presence of magnetoreceptors in toads and other amphibians may be used for navigation and enable them to detect small changes in geomagnetism and the magnetic fields produced in the ionosphere, and could also be useful in helping them evade impending earthquakes (Kirschvink, 2000). The Grant & Halliday study provides scientific evidence that toads react to seismic events. This interesting and documented case supports a type of interconnectedness between animals and the earth. But what about humans? Dr. Kirschvink of the California Institute of Technology detected magnetite in the human brain and heart. Some people report that they can sense magnetic North; however, it is not clear if the magnetite helps the orientation sense of all humans. It has been speculated that maintaining a symmetric position to the earth’s field lines somehow influences certain physiological processes. For example, the onset of rapid eye movement in sleeping humans is shortened in the E-W orientation of sleepers compared to the N-S position (Ruhenstroth-Bauer et al.,1987).   Deyhle: global connectedness    Back to Top

Is there a connection between solar activity, geomagnetic storms and the Schumann resonances and human health and behavior?

There is speculation that solar flares may be impacting on planet earth, causing storms, earthquakes and disrupting our well being.

There are about 1000 lightning storms at any given moment worldwide, which excite the earth's cavity. These resonances form in the conductive ionosphere  which acts as a wave-guide. The limited dimensions of the earth cause this wave-guide to act as a resonant cavity for electromagnetic [ EM ] waves in what are extremely low frequency bands. Deyhle: global connectedness

Recent scientific research confirms a connection between high energy charged particles in the ionosphere and earthquakes. A study conducted in 2008 by Jann-Yeng Liu, from the Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research in Chung-Li, Taiwan, examined more than 100 earthquakes with magnitudes of 5.0 or larger in Taiwan over several decades. The results indicate that almost all of the quakes down to a 35 km depth were preceded by distinct electrical disturbances in the ionosphere. Deyhle: global connectedness

Not only is the earth’s magnetic field affected by the solar activity, so is human health and behavior. Some of the scientific findings are discussed in more detail below.

The electrical currents from the sun affect the human body’s magnetic field.

The environmental scientist Neil Cherry [ 2001 ] reviewed a large number of studies that identified significant physical, biological and health effects that are associated with changes in Solar and Geomagnetic Activity (S-GMA). He suggested that the Schumann Resonance (SR) frequencies that link solar and geomagnetic activity are what link solar activity to the effects on human health and behavior. The SR have ultra low frequency peaks at 7.8Hz, 14, 20, 26, 33, 39, 45, and 51 Hz, which closely overlap with the human brain (also see GCI commentary July 15, 2009).   Back to Top

 Circadian Rhythms

Everything on Earth is driven by cycles. The "circadian rhythm" is a cycle every living being on Earth experiences, which is a roughly 24 h (daily) cycle (Figure 6). Prof. Franz Halberg of the University of Minnesota and board member of GCI, coined the term circadian and is widely considered the "father of chronobiology". Chronobiology is the science that examines cycles of living organisms as well as their adaption to solar and lunar related rhythms (Patrick at el., 2003). "Chrono" pertains to time, and biology to living organisms. The 24 h cycle influences biochemical, physiological and behavioral processes.

Circadian Cycle

Figure 6. Circadian cycle, from Wikipedia.

The connection between the daily (circadian) and seasonal cycles and geomagnetic activity is briefly discussed below:

The human body is designed to adapt to daily and seasonal climatic variations. Environmental factors alter the hormone balance of the body, specifically the melatonin / serotonin balance, which affect many physiological functions, e.g. blood pressure, breathing, immune system, reproductive, cardiac and neurological processes.

Research by Burch et al. (1996) and Rapoport et al. (1998) gives evidence that the melatonin levels are reduced during increased solar and geomagnetic activity. In rats, seasonal melatonin levels were correlated with the seasonal variations in the Earth’s geomagnetic field (Bartsch et al., 1994).  Deyhle: global connectedness    Diseases like cancer, neurological disease, acute heart disease and heart attacks are all related to melatonin levels that are too low, as is accelerated aging. In the daily cycle, the blood pressure, heart rate, neurological, cardiopulmonary and reproductive functions are affected.

Since the fetus has melatonin receptors, an increase in sudden infant death is observed during higher Geomagnetic Activity (GMA). Also, reduced melatonin produces arrhythmic cardiac activity, e.g. cardiac activity dropped in rabbits during a magnetic storm (Chibisov et al., 1995).  Deyhle: global connectedness     Back to Top

End of world 2012 scare:  What might it be?

The answer to this prediction may be largely a scare tactic and speculative.  A lot of theories but most are unsubstantiated. But the basis for this alarm appears to be the shifting of positions of the north and south poles. Here is a short and simplified version of this happening.   Back to Top

  Geomagnetic Reversal - Pole Shifts

"A geomagnetic reversal is a change in the orientation of Earth's magnetic field such that the positions of magnetic north and magnetic south become interchanged. These events, which typically last a few hundred to a few thousands years, often involve an extended decline in field strength followed by a rapid recovery after the new orientation has been established.  Shift in Earth's Magnetic Field Magi: earth heartbeat trouble

Over very long periods, geomagnetic reversals seem to have occurred with a frequency of 1 to 5 events per million years; however, this duration is highly varied. During some periods of geologic time (e.g. Cretaceous long normal), the earth's magnetic field is observed to maintain a single orientation for tens of millions of years. Other events seem to have occurred very rapidly, with more than one reversal in 50,000 years. The last reversal was the Brunhes-Matuyama reversal approximately 780,000 years ago. Shift in Earth's Magnetic Field

Based upon the study of lava formations in Hawaii, it has been deduced that the Earth's magnetic field reverses at intervals, ranging from tens of thousands to many millions of years, with an average interval of approximately 250,000 years.  Shift in Earth's Magnetic Field

The mechanism responsible for geomagnetic reversals is not well understood. Some scientists have produced models for the core of the earth wherein the magnetic field is only quasi-stable and the poles can spontaneously migrate from one orientation to the other over the course of a few hundred to a few thousand years. Other scientists propose that the geodynamo first turns itself off, either spontaneously or through some external action like a comet impact, and then restarts itself with the magnetic "North" pole pointing either North or South. External events are not likely to be routine causes of magnetic field reversals due to the lack of a correlation between the age of impact craters and the timing of reversals. Regardless of the cause, when magnetic "North" reappears in the opposite direction this is a reversal, whereas turning off and returning in the same direction is called a geomagnetic excursion.  "Magnetosphere - Earth's Magnetic Field."   Shift in Earth's Magnetic Field

Solar cycle 24 has begun and it has been predicted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), European Space Agency (ESA) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that it will be up to 50% stronger than its record-breaking predecessor, Solar cycle 23. The sun is predicted to reach its apex, or maximum of activity in late 2011 into 2012. What might this increased activity hold in store for us?   Deyhle: global connectedness

"Earth's pulse is symbiotic with your life. If you have a pulse, it should be of some interest to you that Earth's heartbeat or Schumann Resonance has been 7.8 for thousands of years (and maybe more)… and during the last three years, it has gone to 11. Now, in 2007… it was reported at 12.  Earth's poles flip when it reaches 13… the top of the Schumann Resonance scale. Magi: earth heartbeat trouble  |  Zero Point & resonance

Earth's heartbeat is in tachycardia… dangerously fast beating of the heart. At this point, arrhythmia sets in, with direct effect upon rotation, gravity, and the fields surrounding the Earth, such as the electromagnetic field, for example, and the atmosphere becomes compromised. As human beings upon Earth, this affects our entire body, but most directly our hearts and brains."  Magi: earth heartbeat trouble     Back to Top

In summary, the possible reversal changes of the magnetic poles does not  signify the end of the earth.  There may be an unexpected disruption of life on earth but the magnetic poles should stabilize and life will go on!

Conclusion:   It was the aspiration of this author to show that earthly phenomena and living things are connected with a living earth.

The connections are by way of electromagnetism and resonance. Several obvious phenomenon like hurricanes, ocean tides   Dutch: oceans & tides, and climate changes, although left out, obviously add support to the notion that planet earth is a living entity.

All living things are inter-connected to earth and communicate by way of resonance.   We understand our own the talk but not that of whales, elephants, dogs, bees, or plants.

There are also a lot of things occurring on earth that we do not understand.  Like some animals responding to an earthquake before it actually happens and Tesla's free energy or radiation in space or, as others refer as plasma or ether. Other mysteries and phenomena include mental telepathy, telecommunications, teleporting, holistic healing and even flying saucers that may be rejected or suppressed by established science. We are not as smart as we think we are!

All living things beat to the same drum --- that of earth itself.  The chanting of ancient medicine men and healers may have a lot more to contribute to explaining who we are and why we behave as we do than modern science.  But in spite of our advancements in technology and modern science and medicine, we are still in the dark ages in really understanding the unifying impact between all living things and how we as humans resonate with earth and other living things.  We need to try and understand electromagnetism and that we humans are electrical machines that can relate to other living animals, plants and yes, Gaia itself!

Our challenge is to overcome political and economic arrogance toward electromagnetism on earth.  It is not so much agreeing with Gaia and resonance as it is trying to understand the possibilities of living in harmony with others and mother nature.   Back to Top

Backster had not used proper controls in doing his study. When controls were used, no detection of plant reaction to thoughts or threats could be found. Bell Robert C., "What is the earth's frequency?"  Beck: human resonance

Robert C. Beck performed his own research on electro-stimulation of the healing process and found that the human body has numerous very specific frequencies at which production of different endorphins, beta-endorphins, catecholamines, enkephalins, dynorphins, proteins, and stem cells were triggered.

Beck used an HP spectrum analyzer and attached it to instrumentation amplifiers that were connected to human subjects in order to measure brain wave activity both with and without external stimulation. Beck claimed that the brain appeared to have a high-Q factor of about 3000 for frequency selectivity. Via his own research and that of others, Beck determined that about 250 different frequencies were key in triggering the body to produce its own healing chemicals. Beck studied about 150 different brain wave stimulation devices, and their effects experimentally. He studied the 'executive chimp' study (involving stressed animals). He designed the Brain Tuner black box electrode device to produce these frequencies simultaneously.

Through further research on various people claiming mystical powers, Robert C. Beck found that these people for brief instances of a few seconds at a time generated brain waves in frequency between alpha and theta waves, in sympathy with the 7.83 Hertz-earth resonance frequency (see ELF, Binaural beats, Schumann resonance). He found that nearly none of people claiming mystical powers were without this phenomenon, and that the ones without it were probably faking their mystic abilities.

Backster Cleve,   Backster: theory

In the study of paranormal phenomenon Plant perception, or biocommunication in plant cells, has come to mean a belief that plants feel emotions such as fear and affection. Believers hold that plants have the ability to communicate with humans and other forms of life in a recognizable manner. While plants can communicate through chemical signals, and certainly have complex responses to stimuli, the belief that they possess advanced cognitive abilities receives little support except in the parapsychology studies community and among believers in the Gaia hypothesis.

"In 1925 Georges Lakhovsky, a Russian scientist, published a book called The Secret of Life in which he identified that every living cell emitted radiation (electro-magnetic signals) and that a cell's nucleus acts as an electrical oscillating circuit similar to a radio transmitter and receiver. Lakhovsky was knowledgeable in both engineering and biology. It was the meshing of these two sciences that helped him prove his theories.

"According to Lakhovsky's theory, a state of health or disease was dependent on whether the oscillations from healthy cells were maintained (a state of equilibrium) or were overtaken by the oscillations of disease-causing cells (disequilibrium). He found that he could boost the oscillatory level of weakened cells and overcome disease by attaching a simple coil-shaped 'antennae' to the affected area and leaving it in place. Lakhovsky referred to these antennae as oscillating circuits and they were worn by people as collars, belts, or bracelets. He claimed that his 'antennae' captured and focused sympathetic waves from the cosmos (cosmic waves) which resonated with harmonics of the fundamental frequency at which the weakened cell oscillated. If DNA is indeed a text, a keyboard, a musical score; if it is true that this score can be rewritten so that it plays a new type of music; and if we live not just in a holographic but in a harmonic universe, then it seems plausible that our bioenergy fields are at least in part composed of higher-dimensional sound. "

"DNA directs cellular metabolism and replication not just biochemically but electromagnetically through mechanisms that translate sound into light waves, and vice versa. Sound and light, or phonons and photons, establish a sophisticated communication network throughout the physical organism that extends into the bioenergy fields and back to the cellular and subcellular levels. "

"Russian scientists Peter Gariaev and Vladimir Poponin have also explored DNA’s extraordinary electromagnetic properties. Their research shows that DNA has a special ability to attract photons, causing the latter to spiral along the helix-shaped DNA molecule instead of along a linear path. In other words, DNA has the amazing ability to bend or weave light around itself. "

Today, we are on the cusp of another historic convergence of energy and communication--a third industrial revolution--that could extend empathic sensibility to the biosphere itself and all of life on Earth. The distributed Internet revolution is coming together with distributed renewable energies, making possible a sustainable, post-carbon economy that is both globally connected and locally managed.

The biosphere is the narrow band that extends some forty miles from the ocean floor to outer space where living creatures and the Earth's geochemical processes interact to sustain each other. We are learning that the biosphere functions like an indivisible organism. It is the continuous symbiotic relationships between every living creature and between living creatures and the geochemical processes that ensure the survival of the planetary organism and the individual species that live within its biospheric envelope. If every human life, the species as a whole, and all other life-forms are entwined with one another and with the geochemistry of the planet in a rich and complex choreography that sustains life itself, then we are all dependent on and responsible for the health of the whole organism. Carrying out that responsibility means living out our individual lives in our neighborhoods and communities in ways that promote the general well-being of the larger biosphere within which we dwell. The Third Industrial Revolution offers just such an opportunity.

The fundamental of unisonal vortex mechanism, Understanding magnetic healing.   Understanding mag healing

Electromagnetic fields are the basis of all life. The earth possesses a magnetic field which is the prerequisite for the survival of all life forms. The human body, like every other organism, functions by way of a finely co-ordinated network of electromagnetic fields and forces. These regulate most bodily functions and keep them in their natural equilibrium.

Although we do not actually feel this magnetic field, it influences the daily lives of humankind and nature in a decided way. We know for example that very many animals are dependent on the earth's magnetic field for their sense of direction (bees, termites, ants, beetles, migratory birds, storks, sharks, skate, turtles, whales etc). /p>

In 1998 the University of Frankfurt provided sensational proof for the first time that pigeons oriented themselves by using the earth's magnetic field. Their outstanding sense of direction can be accredited to small magnetic crystals in their bills (carrier pigeons). The same natural magnetic crystals can also be found in the brains of humans.

In principle all functions of the human body are based on electro-chemical-magnetic phenomena. The Nobel Prize winner "von Klitzing" describes the magnetic component of the body as the most effective one.

At the University of Giessen scientists successfully proved that even magnetic fields of the lowest intensity (in the picotesla range) have an undeniable effect on the well-being of humans. Similarly, the natural phenomenon of weather systems is an example of the effects of even low intensity magnetic fields

"When these outside sources of oscillations are in sympathy, that is they are of the exact same frequency as that produced by the cell, the strength and vigor of that cell will be reinforced and become stronger. If, on the other hand, these outside frequencies are of a slightly different frequency, rather than reinforce the cell's native oscillations, they might dampen or weaken them, resulting in a loss of vigor and vitality for that cell. The cells of disease causing organisms within an infected person produce different frequencies than that of normal, healthy cells. For people or plants suffering from disease conditions, Lakhovsky found that if he could increase the amplitude (of the resonant frequency) of the oscillations of healthy cells, this increase would overwhelm and dampen the oscillations produced by the disease causing cells, thus bringing about the demise of the disease causing cells trying to set up shop in the body. If he pumped up the amplitude of the disease causing cells, their oscillations would gain the upper hand and cause the person or plant to become weaker and more ill. Lakhovsky viewed the progression of disease as essentially a battle between the resonant oscillations of host cells versus the oscillations emanating from pathogenic organisms. "

An Earth battery is a pair of electrodes made of two dissimilar metals, such as iron and copper, which are buried in the soil or immersed in the sea. Earth batteries act as water activated batteries and if the plates are sufficiently far apart, they can tap telluric currents. Earth batteries are sometimes referred to as Telluric power sources and Telluric generators.

TThe simplest earth batteries consist of conductive plates from different locations in the electropotential series, buried in the ground so that the soil acts as the electrolyte in a voltaic cell. As such, the device acts as a non-rechargeable battery. When operated only as electrolytic devices, the devices were not continuously reliable, owing to drought condition. These devices were used by early experimenters as energy sources for telegraphy. However, in the process of installing long telegraph wires, engineers discovered that there were electrical potential differences between most pairs of telegraph stations, resulting from natural electrical currents (called telluric currents[3]) flowing through the ground. Some early experimenters did recognize that these currents were, in fact, partly responsible for extending the earth batteries' high outputs and long lifetimes.

To obtain the natural electricity,, experimenters would thrust two metal plates into the ground at a certain distance from each other in the direction of a magnetic meridian, or astronomical meridian. The stronger currents flow from south to north. This phenomenon possesses a considerable uniformity of current strength and voltage. As the Earth currents flow from south to north, electrodes are positioned, beginning in the south and ending in the north, to increase the voltage at as large a distance as possible.[8] In many early implementations, the cost was prohibitive because of an over-reliance on extreme spacing between electrodes.

A telluric current (from Latin tellūs, "earth") is an electric current which moves underground or through the sea. Telluric currents result from both natural causes and human activity, and the discrete currents interact in a complex pattern. The currents are extremely low frequency and travel over large areas at or near the surface of Earth.

"Gregg Braden is currently traveling around the United States and in the media, telling of the scientific proof of the Earth passing through the Photon Belt and the slowing of the Earths rotation. At the same time there is an increase in the resonant frequency of the Earth (Schumann Resonance). When the Earth stops its rotation and the resonance frequency reaches 13 cycles we will be at a zero point magnetic field. The Earth will be stopped, and in 2 or 3 days it will start turning again in the opposite direction. This will produce a reversal in the magnetic fields around the earth and so forth."

"Earth's background base frequency, or "heartbeat," (called Schumann resonance, or SR) is rising dramatically. Though it varies among geographical regions, for decades the overall measurement was 7.8 cycles per second. This was once thought to be a constant; global military communications developed on this frequency. Recent reports set the rate at over 11 cycles, and climbing. Science doesn't know why, or what to make of it. Gregg Braden found data collected by Norwegian and Russian researchers on this; it's not widely reported in the U.S. (The only reference to SR to be found in the Seattle Library reference section, is tied to the weather. Science acknowledges SR as a sensitive indicator of temperature variations and worldwide weather conditions. Braden believes the fluctuating SR may be a factor in the severe storms, floods, and weather of recent years.) "
